Test description / objective

This test case should verify that the contrast of dark mode colors won't pop up so much and they are pleasant to look at.

Test pre-state

  • Tukko should be set up
  • Dark mode color should be enhanced
  • Dark mode should have a toggle button

Test steps

  1. Open Tukko.
  2. Switch Dark mode on from the left side of menu. Colours should change to Dark mode.
  3. Go over all the menus and popups and verify that all the colors work as intented.
  4. Verify that you can read and use the application with an ease.
  5. Switch back to light mode.
  6. Go over all the menus and popups and verify that all the colors work as intented.
  7. Close Tukko.

Test end-state

  • Tukko should function normally after tests.

To be taken into account during test

  • Ensure that the color changes are consistent across all elements of the user interface, including text, icons and buttons.

Test result (Pass/Fail Criteria)

  • PASS condition: Switching between dark and light modes changes the colors of the user interface. Dark mode colors are more pleasant to look at.

  • FAIL condition: Switching between dark and light modes doesn't change the colors of the user interface.
